Kymco engine interchangeability?

I've got a Kymco Super 8 150 with a pile of mods which resulted in a very fast 150 with a broken rod; motor's toast.

Anybody know if any other Kymco engines will fit in this chassis? People 125 maybe? There seem to be a lot more of those available than 150 motors, which seem to be rare as hen's teeth. A standard GY6 will not fit from what I understand, different crankcase length or something. I don't need it to be a "performance" scooter anymore, just want it back in action as a pit bike.

I think the mounts and such are the same, but I hesitate to tell you to pull the trigger on it because I haven't done the swap myself. Where are you located?
