What's your seat of pants impression on the advanced ignition timing? Doesn't that hurt your low end? Or you have adjustable curve and can retard it at lower RPM? Does it rev any higher?

Nothing substantial. With how much I've ridden it, I can't say one way
or the other.
Good intensions, poor results.

I'm finally up and running.

Setup for 2011-
Due Plus 70cc backyard ported
Stage 6 R1200, fits like a bastard
Stage 6 26mm PWK
Stage 6 VF3 reedblock
Stage 6 HPC crank
Stage 6 R/T manifold
Stage 6 dual layer airfilter
Stage 6 upgears
Polini ss9 vario, torque driver, kevlar belt
Malossi Delta clutch, wing bell
Cases flowed to suit the due plus transfers

I've got to do some more tuning with the tranny, but the carb is now dialed in pretty well. Right now I have ~18g total weight in my vario, but I think it may need less.

Visually there have been some changes as well. Get pics up soon, maybe a vid if it's good enough for posting.

Where did you find the bar set up. I can only find cheap switch sets. (lights/starter switch, ect...) Same for the center post. The only ones I found are dual clamp type. Not the look I am wanting.

I used to order lots of stuff from Scootercraft. Now that they're closed up, there's Racingplanetusa.com but not much is on their site that's actually in the US...

I think Mikal's switches are stock SR50 switches?

Thanks J.
I've gotten quite used to waiting on parts... The US is like a giant void in the tuning world.

I've bought everything from scootercraft, or scooter-center. The scooter-center stuff was pre-scootercraft.
Its carbed pretty well, but the tranny is whacked out. I hit the gas and it revs straight to 13-14k, but unfortunatly it doesn't have a lot of power. Sad, cuz it revs that high which is good, but no power sucks. I'm a little confused about where to go with my tranny tuning. I really need to ride it more while watching my RPMs to get a good "feel" of where the power is and adjust it to that. But, for now its louder than a bullhorn, and about as fast as a mild 70cc sport kit. I didn't realize I have my set of tall gears in there until yesterday. I've never had success tuning a bike with upgears.

The switches are stock. And I finally have functioning blinkers! I tried several different flasher units, and NOT A SINGLE ONE would allow the lights to flash. So, as a workaround(which is my preferrence to an actual fix), I put a single 5v flashing LED in series with the pole to the flasher switch, and whamo, my blinks are-a-blinkin.

Maybe try shimming it to see if more spring helps...
Or a softer spring to see if the issue gets worse. Then you will at least narrow it down some. I can test the Malossi to see how many pounds it needs to collapse so you can compare yours for tension. I do think the Malossi is 85lbs tho
