Forum Update/Test post

Postby Areomyst » Wed Mar 16, 2016 1:00 pm

Since having the forum software upgraded and a new style added, I wanted to do a test post to see how it turned out.

The turtle and undersea images will go away as soon as I get a chance to replace those images with scooter-related icons. :)

Kind Regards,

~Josh

Testing attachment upload functions...

I just dragged a photo from my computer's folder and dropped it on to the message box and it uploaded pretty fast! I'm impressed.

I have allocated 10 gigs of space for attachment storage, and 10MB max image size. I very rarely have images over 5 MB so it shouldn't be an issue for most people - but then again, I am used to taking photos that are small enough for internet sharing.

I can change the allocations around as required, but for now I hope they'll suffice. :)

I guess I should take the time at this point to say that Daniel banned me from riding his kart until he sees me complete a session of kart racing without going off the track...

The "ATV of Shame" has had to come push the rental kart I was using back on the track on more than one occasion when I braked too hard or tried an impossible pass...

:P

This new format will take me a while to get accustomed to. Just checked this thread and found all these "OG's" still checking in! Good to see you guys.

Ardell - didn't you sell your S9 years ago?

I kind of liked the simplicity of the old format, but at some point I had to let it go. I was starting to have issues due to having very outdated forum software. It was never updated from the original installation in 2007 - the better part of 9 years old. :) Hopefully now we can enjoy less spam, and more communication! I really like the "drag and drop" photo features.

Well, as you guys can likely tell by now, I've started working on the graphics. I'm an amateur at best with the graphics, so bear with me while I get it sorted. Things are likely to change around a lot with the visuals over the next few days.

Ciao!
