Can anything be used to replace turn signal lens?

Postby redhulk2 » Fri May 20, 2016 1:35 pm

I have a 2013 tao tao roman and the lens on one of the turn signals is broken, so I'd like to replace it, however, tao tao's distributor requires me to purchase the whole turn signal, not just the lens, and I need to buy 2 of them as they come in a set. Does anyone know of something I can use to substitute as a lens for the turn signal, its one of the front signals if that helps. I was thinking worst case, I can put a heavy duty plastic in front of it, but I'm not sure if that will be sufficient.

You may be able to find just the lens on eBay or similar - but usually a pair of Chinese turn signals is pretty cheap anyway. I think if you put some kind of plastic cover over it, the light would just melt it.
