How can i find out if its a gy6 or a qmb?

Typically a QMB engine is 50cc. It's the most common 50cc Chinese engine that I see. It can be upgraded to higher displacements (most scooter engines can be)... The GY6 is a 125, or 150. Do you have a photo of the engine? It'd be really easy to identify that way if there's still confusion.

Sometimes vendors will advertise a part to fit a GY6 50. I'm not sure where that started, but it's still a QMB engine, and parts for a "gy6 50" will still fit.

A 139QMB is a GY6, but a GY6 isn't necessarily a 139QMB.

The 139QMB is the 50cc version of the GY6 which also comes in 125cc (152QMI) and 150cc (157QMJ.)

The larger bore versions also come in different case lengths depending on wheel size.
