Re: Downsizing my company. Here's why.

Been meaning to check up on you - very pleased that you are doing what is best for you. I'm sure the decision did not come easy. Hoping that things will go smoothly for you. Very glad to see that you are keeping at the forum. Our GRSC forum is down - something happened when Go Daddy moved to new ser...

Re: RIVA/JOG 50 VERT MINARELLI PROJECT

Ok, did a little interwebs research on that model so that is an early minarelli vertical engine. Possible to find some hotrod parts that would fit. Be careful, as must assure that parts are for the vertical engine. I would make assumption that parts from a similar era Zuma would fit. Looks like some...

Can you post some pics of the engine? Doesn't look like the mina engine from what I can see.

Re: Malaguti F10 Low compression

As I read this over, I see you have had it running around for a bit, but when shut down for a while it is hard starting. Of course you checked your kill switch and made sure it is in the run position? The hard starting sounds like a fuel issue, as it starts and runs when you cover (choke) the intake...

I guess you could say that there has been a lifetime of learning in that project over the past nine years. Looking forward to see what the new projects bring.

Re: Yamaha Zuma questions

Something similar to that is the Adly RT50 - available in the US and easy to work on....

Seems like the used SR50's are plentiful around here - but usually '09 models with the Piaggio engines. I will warn you that the SR50's are a PITA to work on, though.

Re: Yamaha Zuma questions

No problem with interchangeability of Aerox parts, although the Aerox has rear disc brake as opposed to the drum on the Zuma.

Personally, for a road racing scoot, the Zuma would not be my first choice. Better options are available, but are getting very hard to find.

Where are you located?

Re: Yamaha Zuma questions

Yeah, it will "fit" - but I believe that that kit requires extensive case modification. Not for the casual tuner.

When you say you want to build a race scooter - what are your intentions? Drag racing, road racing, or a street scoot?

Good to see that some of us "old timers" are still checking in. Was wondering what was going on with you - still racing? Glad to hear that your son wasn't seriously hurt. Spills can happen so fast. Dress for the slide, not the ride, right? You remember that we chatted some time back when I...

Re: Handlebar heaters/battery question

Of course, you could gain a little wiggle room by swapping out your bulbs for led's - but if the heaters draw all your juice..... Fuel injected - don't think you can kick start if the battery is dead. We don't have that model here in the US, but looking at web pics I am surprised the Address 110 has...
