Downsizing my company. Here's why.

I have been absent from the forum for quite a while. I apologize. Life over the past 4 years has been tough. That said, I have made some big-deal decisions about my small scooter repair shop, and in my personal life as well. Anyway, here is the statement I released the other day: Friends, The future...

Re: Derbi GP1 for Track Use

Thats so cool, I was staring at my exhaust asking the same question with the limited amount of racing exhausts there are for the S9 and some models. I saw you started preferring Arrow exhausts. many companies claim racing performance, but are more like plug and play sports stuff. I got annoyed wast...

Re: Cheapass Naked X8R

I agree, the frame on that bike is pretty neat! Polishing the aluminum would be a lot of work, but if you are into shiny things, go for it!

Thank you for sharing your project.

Hey, I like your attitude! It's that kind of mindset that makes a good enthusiast, that's for sure. :) I'm glad you're enjoying scootering!

Spam Countermeasures...

Hey guys,

I apologize for the spam. I have been inactive for a long time (explanation coming in another thread), and I was very frustrated to see that we're being over run by spam bots again. I'm working on it...

Re: Winston salem riders?

It's been a long time since I rode to Winston Salem. There are several Winston riders on the forum, but they are likely not checking in often. If you get a ride together, be sure to post it up so us out-of-towners can possibly join!

Re: Best way to secure a Burgman 400?

Maybe you could put your anchor down and then somehow attach a big road cone or a sign that reads "reserved" or somesuch. I know that wouldn't prevent some people from stealing the spot anyway, but it's worth a go!

Re: New to the forums looking for local riders or clubs in NC

I usually ride out to Durham and hang out with the Incriminators SC. They've been around forever, and I have been participating in their "Freeze Your Balls Off" scooter rally every year for something like 8 years. You guys should check it out. It's on MLK JR weekend every year. By the Farm...

Re: Best way to secure a Burgman 400?

If you can't find any good place to secure scooter, perhaps getting one of those "bully pager" style motorcycle alarms. The NY Kryptonite chain is awesome (and HEAVY!), but of course it doesn't do too much good if you can't chain the scoot to anything. The bully pager locks have a small pa...

Re: Any members near Laurinburg, NC?

Hey Margaret, Welcome to the boards, and thank you for joining up! I am also in NC, but in Haw River - about halfway between Laurinburg and Raleigh I suppose. There is a Facebook group called "Making SLow Look fast" or "MSLF Carolina Scooter Club" or something like that. Maybe if...

Hey Alex!

Welcome to the forum! Funny enough, my oldest just recently got ride of his Jeep, and his name is also Alex.

The Honda Spree is a fun little scoot. It's common to swap engines for the AF18. That lightweight little frame with a good engine under it is a ton of fun!

Re: Cloud 9 - Areomyst's Super 9 Project (TSG Tuned)

Well, it finally happened. I sold the Super 9... While that's the end of my nurturing of the project, I'm on to greater things. I've got the Derbi GP1 to contend with, and one of these days i need to get the Jog out to the drag strip! Thanks to everyone who has helped with the Cloud 9 project along ...

At the moment everything is fairly unorganized as I was primarily getting everything up and running. I will tidy up soon.

AFR sniffer for easier jetting

Recently I decided to take the plunge and build my own AFR sniffer for use on my dyno. I used a 14point7 Spartan II lambda controller with a Bosch 4.9 LSU wideband sensor. The sniffer is built from local hardware store supplies. I already had the vacuum pump, and the dyno software (Performance Trend...
